Papers must be received by 15th July 2007.
Papers received after the last date will not
be considered for publication in the
Conference Volume. Members will be allowed
to present their papers received after the
due date only with permission of the
President.
SIZE OF PAPER AND
NUMBER OF COPIES
The paper should be about 3000 words typed
in double space along with an abstract of
500 words. Alongwith hard copy, a CD
containing the paper must be sent. The paper
should conform to the guidelines as given in
this Newsletter. Hardcopy without CD will
not be entertained. Kindly mention your date
of birth in your forwarding letter for
consideration of awards for your paper.
Two hard copies of the papers should be sent
to the President and One hard copy with CD
should reach the Secretary and Treasurer on

The Indian Economic
Association has scheduled the following
events during the year 2007-8:
During the year 2007 a
World Congress on "DALIT EMPOWERMENT IN
INDIA,PRE AND POST REFORM ERA" will be
organised at Patna during December,2007. A
National Seminar is planned to be organized
at Gwahati (Assam) in joint collaboration
with North Eastern Region Economic
Association and The Global Open University
(TGOU),
Nagaland on the theme "CHANGING PROFILE
OF SOCIO-ECPMPMIC DEVELOPMENT IN NORTH
EASTERN REGION." Professor J.P. Singh,
Member,Executive Committee, has been
entrusted with the responsibility of
organizing a national seminar at Jiwaji
University, Gwalior on the theme "
CHALLENGES OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THE
ERA OF GLOBALIZATION," in the month of
December 2007. The U.P. Economic Association
has proposed a national seminar on the topic
"PROSPECTS AND CONSTRAINTS OF
INDUSTRIABLATRION IN EASTERN U.P." to be
held at Kanpur before December 2007. With
the financial support from Indian Economic
Association Trust for Research and
Development Chennai, a national seminar will
be held in December 2007 on the topic which
will be decided in consultation with
Professor V. Shanmugasundram.
A National Seminar in joint collaboration of
the IEA and the Economic Association of
Gujarat will be held at N.S. Patel College,
Anand on the 10-11 September,2007 on the
theme PROCESS OF INDUSTRIALIZATION IN
INDIA: REGIONAL PERSPECTIVES.
The Regional Economics Association /
University may also organize national
seminars / workshops in joint collaboration
with the Indian Economic Association and for
this the IEA Secretary should be contacted
with proposals.
