The
Indian Economic Journal is the main Journal
of the Indian Economic Association. It is
published quarterly and it is a fully
refereed Journal. Its main objective is to
provide a forum for dissemination of the
research findings of scholars from all over
the world, on Issues of analytical,
methodological and practical value to the
professional community. The IEJ is now in
its 54 the year of publication.
The Journal has
essentially three sections as follows:

All submissions made to
the Journal would be sent to Referees and
the Comments and Suggestion made by the
Referees would be communicated to the
authors. Top experts in the respective
fields would be approached for referee
purposes. There are two purposes for
implementing the refereeing system
rigorously: Firstly, it ensures high quality
for the articles finally published in the
Journal. Secondly, the refereeing system
would provide help to the researchers to
improve the quality of their research and
would enable them to submit high quality
papers for consideration of the Journal, in
due course of time.
Submissions made to the
Journal would be acknowledged almost
immediately. Then the articles would be sent
to suitable referees. The whole process of
taking final decisions on the submissions
made to the Journal would normally take
about 3-4 months, depending upon the time
taken by the referees and by the authors in
revising their papers.
The Journal office
functions through Electronic media. All
submissions should be made either through
Email and/or in electronically readable
form.
