Since the Indian Economic Journal is the main outlet of the Indian Economic Association, it is the responsibility of all the members of the Indian Economic Association to ensure that the Journal maintains very high quality and standards in regard to its contents as also in its overall get up in terms of quality of printing and publication. Adhering to the regularity in its publication and prompt mailing of the copies to the members is among its top priority.

We would like to make the following Appeal to the members of the Association, Subscribers and all the Readers of the Journal:

	Please give to us the names and Email ID's of scholars, in India and abroad, who could be approached for good articles for the Journal;
	Please advise us about those experts who could be approached for refereeing purposes; Please supply information on their Email ID's, field of specialization and their Institutional affiliation;
	Please supply information about your latest postal address, Email ID and your field of specialization, to the Journal office and also to the publisher; If you are a member of the Indian Economic Association, please supply this information to the Secretary/Treasurer, in addition to the Journal Office and the Publisher;
	All professionals from the Universities, Colleges, Research Institutions, and all senior professional staff members of Government Departments, Banks, Industrial Houses etc. are requested to send articles and also supply inputs to the section of Communications for Debate & Research, as well as to that of Book Scan/Review;
	While it is the policy of the journal to subject the contributions to its refereeing system, please note that the authors are free to give their reactions to the comments made by the Referees and explain their position. The Editorial Office would facilitate debate and dialogue between the author and the referees. Of course, the identities of the author and the referee would be kept confidential. However, the authors are urged to take the decision of the Editor about the publication of the paper in the Journal, as final;
	It is our Mission to raise the standard and the stature of the Journal to higher levels so as to enhance its usefulness to the professional community at large. We urge the professionals to help us in fulfilling this Mission.
